Casey Wichman joined the EFC in March 2011 as a DELTA intern and stayed on as an Environmental Economics Analyst. Casey’s work largely revolved around water and energy utility management with a focus on financial stability, affordability, and conservation. Casey provided modeling support for sustainable finance programs designed to spur investment in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects at the state and local level. He was been involved in a variety of research projects and statistical analyses involving demand-side management policies for water and energy utilities, the role of price as an instrument of conservation, and technology adoption at the utility level. Casey earned an M.S. in economics from NC State University as a research affiliate with the Center for Environmental and Resource Economic Policy (CEnREP) and a B.A. in economics and English from Ithaca College.
