Michael F. Burgess is a law student in the class of 2018 at the Emory University School of Law. He currently served as a legal intern for the Environmental Finance Center in the summer and fall of 2016. Michael has a wide variety of legal interests, including environmental law, constitutional law, and property law. Michael assisted with a project led by Stacey Isaac Berahzer that analyzed opportunities in affordability assistance to low income customers of water and wastewater service. Michael graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University with a B.A. in Political Science and History. In his free time, Michael enjoys disc golf, soccer, reading, and hiking.
