A free 60-minute interactive webinar to introduce Arizona’s NEW online Water and Wastewater Rates Dashboard and provide information about metrics for sustainable rates and finances.
This webinar is being offered by the Environmental Finance Center at UNC Chapel Hill in partnership with the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority (WIFA) of Arizona. The webinar features the Arizona Water and Wastewater Rates Dashboard (rates as of 12/31/2012), a powerful tool designed to assist with assessing financial sustainability, rate setting and rate structures, and affordability for water and wastewater utilities. Participants received immediate analysis and advising from the webinar leader, and:
- Became familiar with the Arizona dashboard’s features and benefits,
- Learned how to compare one water system’s rates with those of other systems, and
- Learned to apply useful financial benchmarks to their system(s).
This webinar is part of the Smart Management for Small Water Systems project, which offers free technical assistance to water systems serving fewer than 10,000 people. If you are a small system and would like to request assistance, please visit http://efcnetwork.org/one-on-one/
The dashboard was funded under a cooperative agreement with the US EPA. Additional funding was provided by the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority of Arizona (WIFA). Rates data courtesy of the annual WIFA survey of utilities conducted by Raftelis Financial Consultants, Inc.
