Arkansas AWWA&WEA Arkansas Water Conference: Arkansas Utility Rate Dashboard

The Arkansas Water and Wastewater Rates Dashboard allows utility stakeholders to analyze over 700 water and wastewater rate structures and compare utility financial data against industry-accepted benchmarks. This presentation explored how users can leverage the Dashboard for financially stable decision-making. Attendees learned how to use four benchmarking dials including the rates comparison, conservation pricing signal, affordability, and cost recovery dials. This presentation explored how to make meaningful comparisons among utilities based on system characteristics, customer demographics, and geography.  Attendees learned the “does and don’ts” of comparing one utility’s rates to another utility’s rates. The presentation ended in a short Q&A.
