Description: Attend this session to learning about programs that can provide grants and loans to small water systems for capital projects, and about how to manage the ongoing pandemic’s financial implications immediately as well as in the next few months. Representatives from funding programs will describe funding opportunities and answer your questions, while the EFCN will answer your questions and share some resources and information to help you through these difficult transitions. Come to this Q&A style session prepared to ask your questions.

Event 2: Benchmarking Rates and Financial Performance including a Demo of the Ohio Water and Wastewater Rates Dashboard

Description: Understanding how to compare and benchmark rates against other water systems’ appropriately and how to track and assess financial performance of the water utility fund is important before making decisions that affect utility finance. In this session, benchmarking of financial performance and making appropriate comparisons of rates will be explained, including a demonstration of how to use the Ohio Water and Wastewater Rates Dashboard. You will learn new skills and tools that will assist in presenting information to the Board.
