Graduate Research Assistant

Catherine Otero worked at the EFC as a graduate assistant for during the summer of 2021. She developed case studies of small water/wastewater systems to provide best practices for maintaining financial viability. She received her B.S. in Wildlife Biology from Colorado State University and at the time of employment with the EFC was in a dual Master’s program in Public Policy and Environmental Management at Duke University. She enjoyed memorizing all the acronyms used at the EFC and getting to know North Carolina through her work. Out of the office, Cat enjoys experimental baking and exploring on her bicycle.
