Kristen Downs was a UNC EFC Project Director from September 2022 to October 2023. She completed her PhD in Environmental Sciences and Engineering in the fall of 2022, with a focus on the relationships between weather variability, diarrheal diseases, and the environment in North Carolina. She has previously worked for The Water Institute, the Internet of Water, the North Carolina Sea Grant, and the Water and Sanitation Section of UNICEF.
