This interactive rates and financial benchmarking dashboard is designed to assist utility managers and local officials with analyzing residential water and wastewater rates against multiple characteristics, including utility finances, system characteristics, customer base socioeconomic conditions, and geography. Funding assistance was provided by the Water Research Foundation and the U.S. EPA as part of the Smart Management for Small Water Systems project.

The 2012 water and wastewater survey was conducted by the Colorado Municipal League and the Special District Association of Colorado, and was underwritten by the Colorado Water Resources & Power Development Authority. Data from their survey were used to create the Colorado Water & Wastewater Rates Dashboard.

Note: a 2016 updated prototype dashboard is also available for 17 CO municipalities.
