Revenues from the sale of a few basic products and services (potable water and wastewater) back the vast majority of most SRF loan portfolios. The market and business model for these products and services continues to evolve across the country with important distinct utility-specific and regional trends. This session explore the challenges and trends involving the fundamental water and wastewater utility business model including looking at cost, revenue, and pricing trends. The session included a presentation on national trends by Jeff Hughes, the Director of the EFC, and a presentation by the Direcotr of the Minneapolis Water Utility. The session also included an interactive polling session to survey and share trends and experiences among the session participants.
