This interactive dashboard is designed to assist utility managers and local officials with benchmarking residential water and wastewater rates against multiple attributes, including system characteristics, customer base socioeconomic conditions, and geography. Rates data for this dashboard are drawn from a rates survey conducted by Draper Aden Associates. The EFC visualized the data on the dashboard as a resource for utilities, developed initially with funding from Draper Aden Associates, and the current version as part of the Environmental Finance Center Network’s Smart Management for Small Water Systems project funded under a cooperative agreement with the United States Environmental Protection Agency to develop trainings and resources to small water systems in every state. The EFC partnered with Draper Aden Associates to visualize the Virginia rates data on the dashboard since 2010. The current dashboard displays water and wastewater rates as of July 2019.
