This dashboard is designed to assist utility managers and local officials with benchmarking residential water rates against multiple attributes, including utility finances, system characteristics, customer base socioeconomic conditions, and geography. Key financial performance indicators assessing the overall financial condition of the water/wastewater fund are also presented. This resource for utilities in Wisconsin is funded by the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin, which regulates water rates for most systems within the state (including local governments), accounting for over 96% of the population served by community water systems. The EFC at UNC and the PSC regularly partner to produce updated rates tools and resources. Current dashboard displays water rates as of August 2020 for 577 utilities, and FY2018 financial data.
