Public Enterprise Budgeting Q & A

As part of the School of Government’s annual Budgeting in Local Government course, UNC EFC staff Erin Riggs and Tom Roberts participated in a question and answer session for course participants. The EFC also provided a pre-recorded session that covered how to identify and address challenges in setting budgets for municipally run public enterprises, including water, wastewater, stormwater, solid waste, and energy. Additionally, the course included examples of budgeting approaches and best practices which most successfully support such public enterprises.
