Megan Doherty is a Project Analyst at the UNC Environmental Finance Center (UNC EFC). In this role, she does applied research into various funding streams available to water and wastewater utilities and helps communities access this funding.

Before working at UNC EFC, Megan studied Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Mandarin Chinese at UNC Chapel Hill. As a student, she was part of several environmental clubs, including RESPC, worked as an intern at Climate Action NC, and conducted research for Samulski’s Gene Therapy Lab in the UNC School of Medicine.

If Megan was not working as a Project Analyst, she would be reading, climbing, hiking, and traveling the world.
