Strategic Outreach Director
Miguel Jackson is the Strategic Outreach Director at the UNC Environmental Finance Center (UNC EFC). In this role, he helps the UNC EFC by overseeing efforts to engage and build relationships with key stakeholders, communities, and the public. Miguel believes storytelling has been a fundamental aspect of human culture and communication throughout history, playing a crucial role in education, entertainment, cultural preservation, and community building.
Before working at the UNC EFC, Miguel was employed at multiple organizations at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Digital and Lifelong Learning, Finance and Operations, and UNC Student Stores). These experiences were crucial to his journey, shaping his understanding and passion for telling organizations’ unique stories.
If Miguel was not working as the Strategic Outreach Director, he would be training to become a commercial airline pilot and a chess grandmaster (GM).
