Introducing the EPA’s Integrated Planning for Communities in Southern New England

In this workshop, participants are introduced to Integrated Planning and best practices for implementation in Southern New England. The U.S. EPA’s Heather Huddle explains how integrated planning can help communities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island achieve compliance with existing and future planning requirements, as well as Clean Water Act obligations. New Bedford’s Shawn Syde expands on how integrated planning was implemented in New Bedford, MA, and how it informs Clean Water Act compliance. Attendees also had the opportunity to ask questions, connect with peers, and engage in a breakout session that discussed four key questions that communities need to understand before getting started with integrated planning.
