EFC Project Director Justin Nolan will present on rates and rate structures, annual reviews within budget processes to ensure financial alignment with targets, and strategic rate adjustments to maintain sustainability.

The workshop will cover:

1. The importance of the rate structure.
2. The two forms of rate charges – base charge and volume charge. 
3. Annual review of rates and the rate structure as a part of the budget process. 
4. Achieving desired results may not be by raising rates by a percentage. 
5. Understanding the need to adjust rates and take action to become more sustainable as a VUR. 
6. Insufficient rates against growing maintenance needs.
